Accommodations

**Please be sure to keep an eye out for your specific camp’s instructions. Sometimes accommodations change depending on the midshipmen schedule and when they return to campus.**

3 Day Camps that take place during the academic year:
For camps that take place during the Naval Academy academic year, campers will be staying at:

SpringHill Suites by Marriott
189 Admiral Cochrane Dr. Annapolis, MD 21401
(443) 837-3602

This is a standard hotel with the normal amenities. In addition to items needed for camp, such as suit and towels, campers need only bring what they would typically bring to any other hotel stay. Please see our What to Bring section for more detailed information on items needed for camp sessions.

Meals: Overnight campers are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner (beginning with a late dinner the first day of camp and ends after lunch the final day of camp). Day campers are provided lunches and dinners. Lunch and dinner are typically from the Dry Dock Restaurant on the Naval Academy. The breakfast provided to all overnight campers is the hotel continental breakfast. All campers must wear closed toed shoes, t-shirts (or long sleeves), and no hats.

5 Day Camp and 3 Day Camps that take place outside of the academic year:
For camps that take place outside of the Naval Academy academic year, campers will be staying at Bancroft Hall on the Naval Academy Yard. These are rooms similar to other college dorm rooms. There is a twin size lofted bed, desk, small closet and a cabinet for each camper. The water polo camp is given a section of the dorm so everyone is near each other. Please be sure to review our What to Bring section for a list of items necessary in each room.

Meals are provided to all campers. Overnight campers are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner (beginning with a dinner the first day of camp and ends after breakfast the final day of camp). Day campers are provided lunches and dinners. Meals are in King Hall on the USNA and all campers must wear closed toed shoes, t-shirts (or long sleeves), and no hats. The schedule also typically allows for two “in town” lunches. This is at your own cost and campers will choose a place and pay on their own. Please be sure to send money with them if they would choose to eat in town.

Early Check-in (5 Day Camp ONLY):
There is a $30 per day charge for early arrivals (add “WP Early Check-in” to your cart when signing up for camp). The camper will be assigned their room for camp. There will be no meals provided until after check-in of camp, so please plan accordingly. There will be no planned activities and minimal coach supervision as our coaches are arriving to town as well. Please fill out the travel form if you are arriving early for our 5 day camp. Mark “other” and designate early check-in when registering.

We are UNABLE to accommodate late departures.

Day campers will also check in at the stadium for day one. Remaining check-out/check-in will follow the schedule for detailed information.

A valid picture ID is needed for all parents and campers over the age of 16 to enter the US Naval Academy at any time, walking or driving.

3 Day Camps that take place during academic year:
All campers must first check-in at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott located at 189 Admiral Cochrane Dr. Annapolis, MD 21401.

Check-in is held in the lobby of the hotel for all overnight AND day campers between 5:00pm – 5:45pm on Friday.  Out-of town campers who wish to check in at the hotel before camp check-in may do so any time after 3pm. A rooming list will be available at the hotel desk.

Transportation for overnight campers only will leave the hotel promptly at 5:50pm to start our pool session on time.

If you can not get to the hotel prior to 5:45pm, go directly to Scott Natatorium to check-in. If you are not authorized to drive onto the USNA, you will need to park in town and walk to the pool. Please plan accordingly.

Pickup after the camp will be on Sunday at Gate 1 for those parents who are not already at the pool. If you are unable to drive onto the USNA, you will need to park outside of the Naval Academy and walk to the pool. In this case parking close to Gate 1 is easiest.
